Recite articulates eternals through the juxtaposition of moderns and ancients. Baroque music is combined with avante-garde poetry to create an ethereal texture that speaks to all ages. Song is divorced from its musical connotations and stands alone, glorious in its poetry. Alternating with poetry is unverbalised musical prose which carries direct connotations of textual affect and direct semantic sentiment. Recite invites the listener to hear poetry as music and music as prose.
